Bollywood Diva Shraddha Das Reveals Her Fitness Secrets

After embracing the southern and Bengali film industry the dusky actress is all set for her upcoming Bollywood venture Great Grand Masti. This is not her first Bollywood movie as she has already acted in some of the well-acknowledged movies such as “Lahore” and “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji”. But before her much awaited Bollywood flick she down to reveal some of her health and fitness secrets. Here they are:

  • • When asked about her fitness regime, Shraddha said that she came across a book called “Don’t lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight” by Rujuta Diwekar (the nutritionist behind Kareena Kapoor’s curvy figure) which helped her lose more and more weight over the past 5 years. She has gone from a 34-inch waist to a 27-inch waist. She reveals that she has lost a lot of weight in the past five years, but during this time she did not give up on her favourite sweets, full-fat milk or paneer. The actress further revealed that she hates gymming and is more of a yoga and kickboxing person. She finds these two more brain-engaging and these also helps in improving the blood circulation and flexibility. She practices yoga on every alternate day.

  •  When questioned about what she thinks of the various fad diets doing the round in the so-called fitness world, she says that she has tried all this while she was very young and is very much aware of the ill effects of the same. But now she eats everything but in the right proportion and at regular intervals which have in fact improved her metabolism.

  •  When asked about the difference between various film industries regarding the fitness factor she states that the cinema has evolved so much in the past few years that directors and filmmakers are no longer hesitant in casting actors with not so perfect body type as per the industry standards. But still, almost all the actors from various industries are much more conscious about their fitness nowadays.

  •  The actress who will be seen in the upcoming movie “Great Grand Masti” says that she hasn’t really done anything special for her role in the movie when it comes to fitness. Since her role didn’t require any skin show, she used to just stick to early and light dinners with Suryanamaskar and stretching every morning.
