Maharashtra’s most culturally acclaimed festival Ganesh Chaturthi is around the corner. Each and every Mumbaikar is busy in preparations. 1. Salman Khan
It has been a great pleasure to see that Salman Khan irrespective of his caste and religion, celebrates the festival with equal merriment. His mother Salma Khan, was initially a Maharashtrian before tying the knots with his father, Salim Khan. Salma has raised her son with the values of both the religions. And so it happens that Salman Khan celebrates all the festivals with zest and zeal. He’s been bringing Ganpati home for 12 years without a fail. The Ganesh Idol is brought at his Bandra residence. Many celebs gather at his house to celebrate the festival.

2. Ranbir Kapoor
The actor is presently doing the rounds on the internet for his trailer launch of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The Ganesh Utsav trend has been followed by his family ever since Raj Kapoor started it. The Kapoor family celebrate the festival with aplomb. All the Kapoor gather under the same roof to welcome the Ganpati.

The ardent followers of Ganpati, this another Kapoor family celebrate the Ganesh Utsav with all the glamour. He is joined by his family members, Tushaar Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor for the ceremony. The tradition of bringing Ganpati idol home has been followed by his family since years. And this year also, he is seen enthusiastic about it.

4. Vivek Oberoi
Though the actor has been showered with too many flops after his much-acclaimed movie Shootout at Wadala, he never fails to thank Ganpati for all he ever got in his life. He credits Lord Ganpati for the peace and prosperity he has in his life. Every year, you can see Vivek Oberoi welcoming the statue of the Elephant God to his home.

5. Neil Nitin Mukesh
Some reports and interviews have told us that Neil Nitin Mukesh insisted his father to bring Ganesha home when he was a toddler. Ever since then, the tradition is being followed. The only difference being the zeal and excitement every year, which is said to be increased four folds with each passing year. The Ganesh Idol at Niel Nitin Mukesh’s home is said to be the grandest and largest in their vicinity. They keep the idol at their house for 11 days.

6. Rani Mukherjee
It’s not too long since the actress has started to bring the Ganesh idol at her home. She started doing it since 2010. Last year, at South Mumbai Pandal, she was seen offering her prayers to Bappa. She thanked Ganpati for her 2014 release, Mardaani. The same year she got hitched to Aditya Chopra in a hush-hush ceremony. Last year, Rani gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Adira.
