3. Khamoshi: The Musical (1996)
One of my personal favorites, Khamoshi is beyond perfection if counted in musical movies list; and is directed by the maestro, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It’s about a young girl who always dreamt of becoming a singer and gives her best even when she has no support from her family because her parents can’t hear or talk. The movie features Manisha Koirala, Salman Khan, Nana Patekar, and Seema Biswas. I can still hum the songs, “Aaj mai upar, aasma niche” and “Baahon ke darmiyaan” and feel the love of music.
