Ingredients:

  • 8-10 potatoes
  • 4 breads
  • 1/4th cup walnuts
  • Chickpeas
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • Chaat masala
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • Finely chopped green chillies
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4th teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Curd
  • Tamarind paste
  • Coriander chutney
  • Refined flour Papdi
  • Salt to taste
  • Refined oil

How to make Aloo Tikki Chaat

1. Boil the potatoes and soak the chickpeas overnight. Cook the chickpeas in the cooker without putting the whistle. Cook it for 30 minutes.
2. Take the chickpeas out in a separate bowl and keep it aside for cooling.
3. Mash the chickpeas with hands and grind it in a grinder. Don’t grind it too much.

4. Add aamchoor powder, chaat masala, green chillies, coriander leaves, roasted cumin powder in the ground chickpea paste and mix it thoroughly.

5. Peel the boiled potatoes and mash them. Add cornflour and mix it well. Add a pinch of salt, cumin powder and make a dough. Make tikkis with the dough and bake it on a non-stick pan until it is golden brown.

6. Keep the baked aloo Tikki on the chickpea mixture prepared above and add chopped onions, chaat masala, chopped green chillies and coriander leaves on top of it. Garnish it will coriander chutney and tamarind paste. Serve it hot.
