1. Makeup- Apart from other factors (such as your skin type, etc.) your makeup depends on upon the time at which the puja will be held. If you are attending a puja during the day time, then your makeup needs to be very subtle and soft.
• Before you get started with your makeup, make sure that your skin is well moisturized and prepped up as this will make the makeup appear flawless. All you need is an even base for the makeup. Use a foundation to get that and then use a high-performance concealer only to cover up any imperfections or blemishes.

• For this Durga puja inspired look, your main emphasis should be on the eyes. Enhance the shadows and the natural shape of your eyes with neutral eyeshadows and then line your eyes with a black eyeliner or kohl for that typical big Bengali eyes. You can also add some shimmer eyeshadow to the lid as well. Finish off the look with the classic red lips and a red bindi.
For nighttime look:
• For an evening puja, you can go for a makeup look which is on a heavier side. Keep your base makeup the same for the evening look. For the eyes, you can use shades like copper, burgundy, gold, etc. You can also go for a smokey eye look if you want to carry a bold look. Thickly line the upper and the lower lash line with an eyeliner or a kohl to make them appear bigger and wide. Apply a red lipstick and finish the look with some blush and highlighter.

2. Hairstyle- The hairstyle you choose should be according to your attire, face and the entire look. But if you are looking for a hassle-free look then you tie your hair up in a bun (neat or messy). This way your hair will remain out of the way and you can enjoy more. You can also tie your hair in a braid as well. French braid, Dutch braid, waterfall braid, etc. are some of the great options to try. But if tying hair is not your thing then you can also leave them open.

3. Attire- Your Durga Puja look would be incomplete without the classic red and white tant saree. Though if you want to try something out of the box you can also go for borders in funky colours such as pink, yellow, orange, etc. You can give the traditional attire a ditch and choose bordered sarees in different colours and borders. Cotton, silk or whatever fabric you just make sure to get your saree ironed as it will make you look more polished.
