Samosa has to be one of the most famous and loved snack of India. In fact, it should be declared the national snack of India because of its popularity. You must have had the normal samosa that comes with the basic potato filling. But have you ever tried the matar paneer samosa? If not, then you must. It tastes like something you have never had before. In fact, you should make it for yourself and surprise your family. So here is an easy to follow recipe of the matar paneer samosa. Ingredients-
- All-purpose flour- 2 cups
- Paneer- 1 ½ cup grated
- Green peas or matar- ½ cup (boiled and mashed)
- Onion- 1 finely chopped
- Carrot- 1 grated
- Ginger paste- 1 tsp.
- Green chili- 3-4 chopped
- Cumin- ½ tsp.
- Black pepper- ¼ tsp.
- Garam masala- ½ tsp.
- Red chili powder- ½ tsp.
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp.
- Oil to deep fry
Procedure-
1. The first step is to prepare the dough. To the flour add 2 tbsp. of oil, some salt and mix it well. now start adding water to the flour and make a stiff dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and keep it aside to rest for at least 30 minutes.

2. Now heat up some oil in a kadhai. Add the cumin, green chili and chopped onion to the hot oil and cook it through. Now add the ginger paste and cook for another minute or so.

3. Once the onion and ginger are cooked, add the coriander powder, red chili powder and garam masala to the kadhai and cook for a few seconds.
4. Add the green peas, paneer, carrot, salt and black pepper and mix it through. Your stuffing is ready.

5. Now make small balls of the dough and start rolling them in an oval shape. When it is rolled enough, cut it into two parts as shown in the picture and fold it in a triangle. Fill the samosa cover with the prepared filling and seal the open ends by pressing them together. You can also use a fork to seal it. Prepare all the samosas like this.

6. Once all the samosas are ready, heat up oil for deep frying

7. When the oil is heated enough, one by one start putting the samosas in the hot oil and cook samosas over medium heat until golden
