How to Make: Paneer Kachori

Kachori is all time favourite of every Indian. And when filled with paneer, no one can really resist that. So we’re bringing this blend of paneer and Kachori to you in the simplest method of cooking. You can have them as a snack or you can serve them in your breakfast with spicy aloo sabzi.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gms paneer
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 6 tbsp. ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • 2-3 tbsp. fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Paneer Kachori?

  1.  Take some refined flour in a bowl and add 4 tbsp. of ghee and salt according to your taste. Mix the ghee well with flour using your fingertips. Mix it till the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
  2.  Add some water and knead a stiff dough. Cover the dough with a damp muslin cloth and keep it aside.
  3.  Grate the paneer in an another bowl.
  4.  Heat some ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add coriander powder, Garam masala and red chilli powder. Then add chaat masala, coriander leaves and sauté it for 1 minute.
  5.  Add the grated paneer to the mixture and mix it well. now this is the filling for your Kachori. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
  6.  Heat some oil in a Kadhai.
  7.  At the same time, divide your dough into 8 equal portions.
  8.  Roll the portion of the dough in a thick disc. Put the paneer filling in the centre and seal the dough. Flatten it into small sized chapatti with a rolling pin.
  9.  Make other Kachoris in the same way. Fry the Kachoris in the oil till they are brown and crisp.
  10.  Take out the Kachoris and place them on a tissue paper.
  11.  Serve hot with a chutney or aloo sabzi.
