Remember the good old saying “work is worship”? Well looking at the modern women today, it’s not that hard to find one who actually holds this value high in her spirit. Women have proved themselves to be the pioneer in every field of work, challenging men the best way they can! And being a guy, I’m not shy to admit modern women are giving us a run for our money.
There are a number of women that I know who are competitive, dedicated and focused towards their work. I think a Mia woman has got to be someone, who wakes up in the morning with a goal in her mind and confidence to win the world, right? Just like the beautiful and artistic piece of designs Tanishq has launched. A collection meant for the woman with great confidence and high work ethics.
I want to show you the true epitome of a Mia Woman which in my opinion is my bestest friend, Ankita. I came across the Tanishq Mia ad yesterday at their website co. When I got to know about the contest, I couldn’t resist myself from participating. Not for the sake of winning, but just to show you all the immense respect and admiration I have for my friend whose life is as exemplary as it is inspirational. She is a true Mia Woman who despite all the odds has proved that when a woman sets her eyes on something, nothing can stop her!
I met her first when I was in junior school. She was always very beautiful and talented. We became friends on the first day itself. Right since her childhood, there was something intriguing about Anky’s (as I call her) personality. Not only she topped in every academic exam, she was way ahead of every other student in every aspect. And talent- oh you should have seen her dance or heard her song! Debate, quiz painting- you name it, Anky was the jack of none and master of all. Then suddenly life came crashing down, and she was shook to hell. Her mother was no more when she was 12!
Life is never so easy and sweet, right? Soon after, her father followed her mother and went to heaven. All this happening to a young and innocent child, how could this be fair! As if the pain and shock was eating her from inside, her beauty and charm gone!
A couple of years passed like this… And when we were in our senior school, came the moment! The girl I once knew was starting to wake up from the long and painful cryo-sleep. My friend was back, better and stronger than ever!
She has a little brother whom she literally raised by herself right since when she was 13. And I think that her responsibility towards her brother was the key factor to this change in her. Even at that young age, she had a confidence and will power I haven’t even seen in elder people. I was awestruck and deep inside, very happy! Since then, she awakened the true power of a woman inside her who never backs down no matter how big the challenge is! It didn’t take her long to stand on her feet and she started handling her father’s business while she was still studying. I mean WOW!
Today, Anky is a fashion diva who is crazy about everything stylish and trendy! And to be very honest with you, I have never seen a woman so beautiful, graceful and confident in my life! It’s like when a woman is confident from inside; you can see the magic of her beauty in everything she does. She is now an entrepreneur, a socialite, active fashion blogger, independent model, and has worked as a VJ too for quite some time. I wish I could show you her pic, just so you know what an extraordinary and gorgeous woman she is! But I can tell you that she has always spread happiness wherever she went, whoever she touched! When I asked her what is success for her now that she is so successful, she said and I quote “Success is not what you got, it’s what you make of what you got”!
