Here, is the list of ingredients that you will need to prepare this yummy dish:

• 1 1/2 Kg chicken (washed and dried)
• 5 tablespoons of cooking oil
• 4-5 curry leaves
• Salt (according to taste)
• 2 inches of ginger
• 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds (Sarason)
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 3 tablespoon coriander powder (Dhania Powder)
• 2 cup tomato puree
• 1 cup chopped coriander leaves
• 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon chilli powder (Mirchi powder)
• 1 teaspoon of cumin (Jeera)
• 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
• 1/2 cup of coconut (grated)
• 2 teaspoons of poppy seed paste (Khasakhas)
• 3 sliced onion
• Water

Procedure:

1. For this yummy masala chicken recipe, first you have to wash the chicken three to four times and keep it aside after draining water from it.
2. Now, take ginger, garlic cumin seeds, black pepper and mustard seeds in the grinder jar and form a thick paste.
3. Then, take chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder in a bowl and add a quarter cup of water and form a paste.
4. Later, grind grated coconut and poppy seeds to get a thick paste.
5. Heat the oil in the pan, add onions and fry till it gets brown.
6. After that add curry leaves, ginger- garlic paste, salt and let it fry for 3 minutes.
7. Now, add chilli- turmeric paste to the pan and mix all the spices thoroughly.
8. Then, add chicken pieces and fry for 5 minutes.
9. Add tomato puree to the recipe and cook for 5 minutes.
10. Five minutes later add 1 1/2 cup of water and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
11. When the chicken starts to become soft add coconut poppy paste to the dish and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
12. And, at last, add coriander leaves and remove the pan from heat.
13. Your yummy masala chicken is ready to be served.

Note: You can serve this dish with naan or regular chapati and rice.
