-

Saree is considered as one of the sexiest piece of clothing for women and it is said so because of all the right reasons. The beauty of this garment lies in the fact that it suits almost every woman out there. But like always there are certain do’s and don’ts that you must keep in mind while wearing a saree.

Here are some do’s and don’ts to keep in mind while wearing a saree.

1. Keep your body structure in mind- If you are tall, then you really don’t have to fuss too much over the fabric or print of the saree as anything would look just as good on your tall frame. While on the other hand, if you are short or plump then you have to be considerate of a few things. While picking a saree, go for fabrics that are light and airy fabrics. Also, try to avoid heavy embroidery and embellishments as these are going to make you even more burdened. Try to choose prints which will make you look taller such as vertical prints and dark colours which will give you a slimming effect.

2. Choose the correct blouse- The perfect blouse can add so much to your saree. So you must be a little careful while choosing the perfect pattern for yourself. For example, if you have heavy arms, then try to avoid short sleeves and cut sleeves, instead go for ¾ sleeves. If you want your chest area to look fuller, then go for embellished blouses. Try to figure out your problem areas so that you can conceal them. Also, ensure that your blouse fits you perfectly; it should neither be too tight nor too loose.

3. Petticoat issues- One of the most important part a saree is the petticoat. It is the petticoat that holds the saree onto its place all day long. The best place to tie your petticoat is right below or above the navel. Try to avoid tying it too above or below the mentioned point, or it won’t look as good. Pick a petticoat which is not flared as it will make you look fluffed up.
