Chicken Salad Sandwich

Cooking cannot get easier and tastier than this. This chicken salad sandwich is one of those things that you can prepare in under 10 minutes. I have use toasted bread but you can also make the regular version (without toasting the bread). You can also grill the sandwich or toast it in an oven.

Here is a step by step recipe of the same.

Ingredients:

  • Bread slices- 2
  • Chicken- ½ cup (boneless cubes)
  • Butter- 1 tsp.
  • Olive oil- 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic cloves- 1-2 cloves (crushed)
  • Red chilli powder- a pinch or two
  • All spice powder- a generous pinch
  • Mayonnaise- 3 tbsp.
  • Black pepper powder- ¼ tsp.
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Onion- 2-3 tbsp. (finely chopped)
  • Cucumber- 2-3 tbsp. (finely chopped)
  • Coriander- 1 tbsp. (finely chopped)

Procedure:

  1.  Apply butter on the both sides of the bread slices and toast them in a pan until golden brown and crisp. Remove from the pan and keep them aside.
  2.  To the same pan add some oil and add the crushed garlic to it. Sauté the garlic until the raw aroma fades way.
  3.  Add the chicken pieces.
  4.  Season with salt and continue cooking the chicken until completely cooked. It will not take much time.
  5.  When the chicken is cooked add the powdered spices and mix well. turn off the flame.
  6.  In a small bowl, take the mayonnaise and add the black pepper powder, chopped onion, cucumber and coriander leaves. You can also add some lemon juice if you like the tangy flavour of        it.
  7.  Add the sautéed chicken to the mayo and mix well.
  8.  Spread the chicken mayo mixture on the toasted bread slice and cover with another slice.
  9.  Slice it and serve the chicken salad sandwich immediately.
