Garlic Paneer Recipe

Garlic paneer is a quick starter recipe that you can prepare easily in less than 30 minutes. If you have uninvited guests or if you want to prepare a quick evening snack for your evening tea, then this recipe is perfect for you. You can serve it as it is or another great way is to use the garlic paneer is to serve it as a wrap, in a tortilla along with some salad. Whichever way you decide to serve it, it will turn out to be amazing. Here is a step by step recipe of the same.

Ingredients:

  • Paneer- ½ cup
  • Garlic- 6 cloves
  • Vinegar- 1 tsp.
  • Kashmiri red chilli- 5-6 (deseeded)
  • Sugar- 1 tsp.
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Oil- 1 tbsp.
  • Cumin/jeera- ½ tsp.
  • Onion- ½ cup (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves- for garnishing

Procedure:

    1.  Cut the paneer into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
    2.  To a small grinding jar, add the dried red chillies, garlic, sugar, vinegar and salt, along with 2-3 tbsp. of water.
    3.  Grind all the contents to form a paste.
    4.  Heat the oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
    5.  Now add the onions and sauté until golden in colour.
    6.  Pour in the prepared chilli and garlic paste to the pan. Cook until the paste thickens and the oil starts to separate  from  the paste.
    7.  Add the paneer cubes in and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    8.  Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
