The Sun is burning harsh and the summers are on fire which forces us to take out our most waited stocks of Cotton tops, shorts, sunglasses, sunscreens and the flip flops of course. The flip flops are really great to wear and easy to handle but they should be restricted to only showers, spa and beaches and nowhere else. Wearing these slippers outside in summers is very harmful and here are some reasons you should avoid them these summers!
1. Sun Burns: Your feet are just covered with a slim strap and that does no good when it comes to exposure to the sun. In worst cases if you will wear Flip Flops in the sun, you can burn your skin badly and get blisters too. Moreover, the tiny strap over your slippers gets continuously rubbed with your skin leaving irritation all around the feet. So, if you wish to save your lovely skin from getting tanned then avoid wearing the flip flops in the sun.

2. Exposure to Infections: The flip flops are all open and all the dirt and bacteria gets to stick to the feet making the feet dirty. Many times it erodes the skin to a great extent and it can cause serious infections and consulting a doctor becomes mandatory in these scenes. In addition to all these, the flip flops are made up of poor rubber material thus causing skin problems to you.
3. They Slow down the speed: The researchers have found of that wearing flip flops slows down the speed as people take smaller footsteps with them as compared to shoes. In addition to the small steps, fast running or the sprints are way too far from a person wearing slippers. They make us feel so uncomfortable, especially in the crowded places where we are unable to cope up with the speed of others.

4. Pain in the Heels: The Flip Flops are not at all advised for the people who suffer from heel pains and to the others that that wear them regularly, the pain is more likely to come. It has been advised by the doctors that wearing slippers for a longer duration of time disturbs the heels. More force is asserted over the ground as there is a very thin interface of rubber in between the feet and the ground which ultimately impacts the person with pain. Moreover, there are more chances of getting heel cracks too with them as compared to some covered footwear like shoes.

5. It affects the posture: Many of you might be thinking of it as a vague statement but it really does affect the posture and the reason to support this statement is that they are flat and they do not bend as the feet do. They modify the biomechanics and thus leaving you with a bad posture.
All in all, wearing slippers anywhere other than washrooms or beaches is not at all advised for the safety of your feet and health.
