You must have got bored after eating the same aloo Tikki all the time. Isn’t it? That’s we thought about bringing some variations in the conventional Tikki we eat at the roadside stalls. For all the paneer lovers like me, here’s a good news for you. Enjoy the lip-smacking paneer Tikki this summer with spicy chutney. Come let’s learn how to make it.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Chana Dal
- ½ Kg Paneer
- 1 ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 teaspoon chat masala
- ½ inch ginger
- 5 green chillies
- 4 potatoes
- 1 teaspoon cornflour
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
How to Make Aloo Paneer Tikki?
1. Soak the Chana dal for 2 hours and coarse grind it in a grinder. Chop the green chillies and ginger. Boil the potatoes and grate the paneer.
2. Heat some oil in pan. Add the finely chopped ginger and green chillies in it and fry it for 1 minute. Add the ground Chana dal to it. Add salt, red chilli powder, chat masala and fry the mixture. Add the paneer and mix it well. Turn off the heat.
3. Peel the boiled potatoes. Add salt to them and mash them.
4. Take another pan and heat some oil in it. Take the mashed potatoes and make balls out of it. Make a depression in the centre of the ball. Keep the paneer mixture in the middle of it and seal the ball. Press the ball lightly to give it a shape of Tikki. Cover the Tikki in some cornflour and fry it in the oil.
