Ingredients needed for sweet potato halwa recipe:
- Sweet potato (chopped in big pieces)- 1
- Cardamom powder- 1 tablespoon
- Ghee- 2 tablespoons
- Almonds (blanched)- 1 tablespoon
- Milk- 1/4th cup
- Sugar- 2 tablespoons
Now, how to make sweet potato halwa:
- First, add some water to the pressure cooker.
- Now, add sweet potato to the cooker and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
- Then, remove the sweet potato from the cooker and peel.
- After that, mash the sweet potato and keep it aside.
- In the meantime, heat some ghee in a pan.
- Now, add the mashed sweet potato to it and stir for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Then, gently add milk and make sure you stir constantly.
- Once the milk is evaporated add sugar to the pan and stir.
- After that, add cardamom powder, almonds to the pan and stir.
- Transfer the halwa to a separate bowl.
