Sandwiches are a great way to start your day. These are quick to make and filling. The best part is that you can customise them according to your taste, what ingredients you have or how heavy or light you want them to be.
So today I am going to share with you one of my favourite sandwich recipes which is the cheese capsicum sandwich. It is very easy to make and the capsicum adds a different flavour to the sandwich. So without any further due let’s get started with the recipe.
Ingredients:
- Bread slices- 8-10
- Onion- 2 tbsp. (finely chopped)
- Tomato- 3 tbsp. (finely chopped)
- Capsicum- ¼ cup (finely chopped)
- Garlic- 1 clove (crushed)
- Cheese- ½ cup
- Black pepper- ¼ tsp.
- Oregano- 1 tsp.
- Dry basil- ½ tsp.
- Salt to taste
- Butter as required
Procedure:
- Â In a bowl, combine the onions, tomatoes, capsicum and cheese.
- Â Now add the salt, pepper, basil and oregano to the vegetable and cheese mixture. Mix everything really well.
- Â Spread butter on one side of the bread slices. Now put the vegetable and cheese filling on the buttered side of the bread and cover it with another bread slice.
- Â Now grill the sandwich in an electric sandwich grill or a stove top sandwich grill or in the oven, until golden and crisp from both the sides.
- Â For enhanced taste spread some butter on the top of the grilled sandwiches.
- Â Serve the cheese capsicum sandwiches with ketchup or your favourite sauce.
