Chicken Nuggets Recipe

Chicken nuggets are one of the most popular non-veg items at fast food joints. But the ones that you get at these outlets are highly unhealthy and processed. A better option to make these at your home fresh from scratch as these are very easy to make. Today I am going to share with you an easy recipe to make chicken nuggets at home.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast- 250 grams (soaked in buttermilk overnight in the refrigerator)
  • All-purpose flour- 1 ½ cup
  • Egg- 1
  • Salt- as per requirement
  • Pepper powder- ½ tsp.
  • Garam masala- ½ tsp.
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp.
  • Bread crumbs- ¾ cup

Procedure:

  1.  Remove the bowl of chicken from the refrigerator half an hour prior to the cooking process.
  2.  Drain all the excess buttermilk from the chicken.
  3.  Sprinkle half of the garam masala powder, pepper powder and some salt on the marinated chicken and mix well.
  4.  Add the remaining garam masala and black pepper powder to the flour. Add some salt as well and mix really well.
  5.  Crack the egg into a bowl and lightly whisk with a fork.
  6.  Transfer the bread crumbs to a plate.
  7.  Coat the chicken piece with the flour and then in the egg followed by the breadcrumbs.
  8.  Prepare all the chicken pieces in a similar manner and rest for 10 minutes.
  9.  Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. When the oil is hot (not too hot) add the chicken nuggets to the oil and fry them until golden in colour.
  10.  Drain on a kitchen paper towel.
  11.  Serve the chicken nuggets hot with ketchup and mayonnaise.
