Bread cutlet is a very famous Indian snack which is made of bread slices, vegetables, and assorted spices, cooked to golden perfection. It is best served as a breakfast, evening snack or an appetizer.

So, today we are going to share with you a simple and quick recipe of bread cutlets that you can prepare for your family, friends and guests.

Ingredients:
- White bread- 4 slices
- Potato- 1 (boiled)
- Green peas- ¾ cup (boiled)
- Cabbage- ¾ cup (finely chopped)
- Carrot- ¾ cup (finely chopped)
- Bread crumbs- 5 tbsp.
- Onion- 1
- Green chili- 2 (finely chopped)
- Ginger- ½ tsp. (finely chopped)
- Garam masala- ¼ tsp.
- Lemon juice- 1 tbsp.
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying

Procedure:
1. Chop the onions, cabbage, carrot, ginger and green chilies and keep them aside.

2. Now in a non- stick pan, heat up some oil. In the hot oil add the onion and green chilies and cook them through. Once the onions are cooked, add finely chopped ginger and cook for a minute.

3. Now add the chopped cabbage, carrot, boiled peas and the garam masala and cook for 3-4 minutes.

4. Dip all the bread slices in water and then squeeze the excess water. Now add these bread slices to the vegetable mix and combine well.

5. Now add the boiled mashed potato, 2 tbsp. bread crumbs, lemon juice and salt to this bread and vegetable mix.
6. Take off the prepared mix from the flame and let it cool down a bit.
7. Now dampen your hand and start making small patties with this mixture.
8. Once all the cutlets are ready, coat them with bread crumbs and keep aside.

9. Now in a non-stick pan add enough oil to shallow fry the cutlets. One the oil is hot enough start placing the cutlets in the pan. Let the cutlets cook on one side for at least 2-3 minutes and then flip them. The cutlets need to be golden brown in colour.

10. Once cooked, take the cutlets off from the pan and keep them on a kitchen towel so as to soak up any excess oil.
11. Serve your yummy bread cutlets with your favourite chutney or tomato ketchup.
