When you think yourself as a bride you visualise a glowing and radiant girl. But as the auspicious day comes closer no matter how much you try but the stress starts taking over the glow and radiance. But if you take care of some of the basic things you can easily maintain a healthy glow and look your best on the most special day of your life.
1. Diet- Though a lot of modern brides are very conscious and particular about their diet, there are a lot of hidden factors about which they don’t know anything. Sometimes there are food items which can mess up the pH balance of the skin. Food items such as sodas, sugar, alcohol and eggs can create a misbalance in your skin. On the other hand, there are certain food items which may help you in balancing the pH level. Green vegetables, lemon, chia seeds and turmeric being some of them. Misbalance in your skin may lead to skin related issues such as extreme sensitivity, inflammation and acne. So be careful of the food items you try to choose in your diet.

2. Choosing the cleanser- One of the most important part of a skin care routine has to be cleansing. But sometimes the cleanser you chose could be the reason behind your skin related woes. A cleanser with the pH level of 9 or above is very alkaline in nature and may disrupt the skin’s original pH balance. This way the skin starts to lose the natural oils and start becoming dry and flaky. If you have sensitive skin your skin may react to it even badly and may get very irritated. Thus while picking up a cleanser it is very important to choose one which is pH neutral so that it does not react with the pH level of the skin anyway. If you cannot decide on your own you can ask your dermatologist to recommend the same.

3. Sun protection- This one often get ignored amidst other things, but it is one of the most important ones when it comes to skin care. Sun exposure leads to skin pigmentation, tanning and dullness, which are certainly the things you don’t want especially if you are a bride-to-be. Thus whether it is jewellery shopping or a visit to the parlour make it a point to apply a good amount of sunscreen on your face as well as all the other exposed parts. Also, make sure to apply it at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun and if you plan to stay outdoors for a couple of hours then don’t forget to reapply.

4. Skipping the moisturizer- Moisturizer is an inevitable part of a proper skin care routine. It doesn’t matter if your skin is oily or dry, you must apply a moisturizer which is suitable for your skin type. When we wash or cleanse our face, along with the dirt and makeup the natural oils present on our skin too get washed away. In order to replenish the lost moisture and to stop your skin from over secreting these oils, you must apply a moisturizer after cleansing your face. Just pick the one which meant for your skin type.
