Avoid those nasty skin rashes and play a chemical free Holi this year. Stock up your kitchen with flowers, henna, and beetroot to prepare these herbal skin-friendly colors. Holi is a festival of colors and mouthwatering delicacies, dancing, and all that masti you wait to have all year long.
Following are the tips to make herbal liquid colors at home:

ORANGE
For the orange color, you need to soak henna leaves in water overnight and then use that water as your herbal Holi color to play.

MAGENTA
For making the magenta color, boil pieces of beetroot, 2 beetroots in 5 liters of water or as per your requirement, then let it cool and use afterward.

YELLOW

To get yellow color, soak red colored flowers in water overnight, and you will get red-ish yellow colored water the next morning.

GREEN
For the green color, boil spinach in water, as per your requirement, and let it cool for after use.

To get the blue color, blueberry juice is the best. Squeeze out the juice of a few blueberries and play a healthy and colorful Holi.

FOR DRY COLORS

You need to mix rice flour with edible food colors (as per your required shade for each color) and 2 tablespoons of water to make a thick paste. Dry the mixture and then blend or grind it into a fine powder. You can add food essence of rose or any other flavor of your choice to make it smell good.
