Ingredients Required To Make Bread Gulab Jamun

  • 12 White bread slices
  • 1 ½ cup sugar (300 Gms)
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 7-8 almonds
  • 7-8 cashews
  • 1/4th teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Refined oil to fry

How to make bread gulab jamun
First of all, let’s prepare the sugar syrup for the gulab jamun. Take a pan and add 1 ½ cup of sugar and some water. Keep it on the heat till the sugar is dissolved in water. Heat it till the consistency of the syrup is thick.

Separate the edges of the bread using a knife. Spread the bread slices on the plate and soak it the milk. Mix khoya, powdered sugar, chironji and powdered cardamom. After 5 minutes, squeeze the bread slices to strain out the milk and keep them in the plate. Add sooji and flour to the bread slices and make a mixture out of it. Make sure that the mixture is not too hard. Make small balls out of the mixture. Fill the powdered sugar, khoya, chironji and powdered cardamom mixture in between the gulab jamun balls.

Heat some oil in a pan and fry the gulab jamun balls in the oil till its light brownish in colour. Take these balls out of the oil and soak them in the sugar syrup prepared in the above steps. After some time, take the gulab jamun balls out of the sugar syrup and garnish it with some grated pistachio. Serve them hot.
