Instant Gajar Halwa Recipe

Since the winters have arrived it was appropriate and in fact quite necessary to share the classic gajar halwa recipe. Winters and gajar halwa are two things which go hand in hand. If you are not having gajar halwa during winters due to whatever reasons you are missing out on life.
Now a lot of people get the halwa from sweet shops which is obviously more convenient. But I like to make it at home in my own way. The traditional method of making gajar halwa is very tedious and lengthy which is not my thing. I like my sweets recipe to be quick and instant. So, keeping the legacy alive I am sharing mu instant gajar halwa recipe with you all. You need just 5 ingredients to make this recipe and the outcome is going to be totally worth it.

Here is a step by step recipe of the same.
Ingredients:
Carrot/gajar- 500 grams
Condensed milk- ½ tin
Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp.
Ghee- 1 ½ tsp.
Mixed nuts- a handful (chopped)
Procedure:
1. Wash, peel and grate the carrots.
2. Heat the ghee in a kadhai and add the grated carrots and condensed milk. Mix all the ingredients well.
3. Saute the mixture on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
4. Cover with a lid and allow the carrots to cook and soften.
5. Continue to stir the mixture occasionally. Once the carrots are cooked remove the lid and add more ghee.
6. Cook the carrots without the lid until all the water has evaporated. To get done with this process quickly you can turn the flame on high. But make sure to stir the halwa several times in between.
7. When all the moisture has evaporated, add the cardamom powder to the halwa and mix well.
8. Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped nuts.
9. Serve the halwa hot or warm.
