Indians can’t enough of Paneer and Paneer dishes. If you don’t know about handi paneer yet, then let me tell you it is the spicy and creamy recipe of paneer with paneer and capsicum cooked in gravy. The gravy of handi paneer is prepared from the yogurt. It is usually served in a Handi; hence the name of the dish is handi paneer.

It is a Punjabi cuisine but it is relished all around the country. If you want a Paneer dish overflowing with sumptuous flavours and aroma, then be sure to prepare this yogurt based creamy and mouth-watering Handi Paneer at home.
It will take nearly half an hour to prepare the dish.

Ingredients:
- 200 gm Paneer
- 1 cup diced capsicum
- 2 tbsp. fresh curd
- 2 small onions chopped
- 4 chopped tomatoes
- 2-3 chopped green chillies
- 1 inch minced ginger
- 4-5 garlic clove
- 1/8th tsp saffron soaked in milk
- 1 tbsp. fresh cream
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp kitchen king masala
- 1 tsp butter
- Coriander leaves chopped
- Salt to taste
- Whole Garam Masala
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 dry red chilli broken into half
- 2 green cardamoms
- 1 black cardamom
- 3-4 black pepper corns
- 1-inch cinnamon stick

How to Prepare Handi Paneer?
- Â Dice the paneer into equal sized cubes
- Â Take one bowl and add diced capsicum, yogurt, fresh cream and salt. Add the paneer cubes to it and keep it aside.
- Â Heat a pan and add some butter or oil. Add the whole garam masala to roast them.
-  Sauté them for a minute and then add the green chillies, ginger and garlic. Sauté it for another few seconds.
- Â Add the onion slices and cook it till it get pinkish in colour.
- Â Now add the chopped tomatoes to the onions followed by salt, red chilli powder and turmeric.
-  Cook the tomatoes till they are tender. Add the soaked saffron to it. Pour half a cup of water to the gravy and cook it till it  becomes thick.
-  Sauté the gravy on low flame. Add the marinated paneer with capsicum to the gravy. Add the kitchen king masala.
- Â Cook for 5 minutes and then turn the flame off. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Â Serve it hot with roti or naan.
