Remember a few days back we shared with you the recipe of Soya Kebab? Today we have come up with another vegetarian version of a very popular non-vegetarian recipe and i.e. the Vegetarian Keema recipe. This recipe is very healthy since it is an overload of vegetables and it’s is also a great way to satisfy your taste buds. So without any further due let’s get straight into the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower- 7-8 florets (grated)
  • French beans- 10-12 (finely chopped)
  • Mushrooms- 7-8 (finely chopped)
  • Carrot- 1, medium sized (grated)
  • Green peas- ½ cup (boiled)
  • Tomatoes- 2, medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Green chili- 1 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp.
  • Black cardamom/badi elaichi- 1
  • Cinnamon/dal chini- 1-inch stick
  • Coriander/dhaniya powder- 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric/haldi- ½ tsp.
  • Garam masala- ½ tsp.
  • Red chili powder- ½ tsp.
  • Oil- 2-3 tbsp.
  • Water- 2 cups
  • Salt to taste

Procedure

  1.  In a pan heat the oil. When the oil is hot enough cook the black cardamom and cinnamon in it. Now add the chopped onions and fry them till golden brown in colour.
  2.  Add the ginger garlic paste to the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Now add in the tomatoes as well as the powdered spices. Cook everything until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
  3.  Now add the cauliflower, carrot, beans and mushrooms to the pan. Add the water and salt.
  4.  Cover the pan and cook all the vegetables. You want all the water to evaporate and the mixture needs to be dry.
  5.  Now add the green peas to the vegetable mix and stir.
  6.  Adjust the salt if you have to.
  7.  Garnish the keema with chopped fresh coriander and serve it hot with roti, bread or pav.
