Ingredients needed for Amritsari paneer tikka recipe:
- Paneer- 500 grams
- Lemon juice- 4 tablespoons
- Black pepper- 1/2 pinch
- Oil- 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek leaves (dried)- 6 tablespoons
- Sugar- 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon powder- 1 pinch
- Gram flour- 8 tablespoons
- Carom seeds- 1 teaspoon
- Salt- as per requirement
- Water- as per requirement
- Chili flakes- 2 teaspoons
- Ginger paste- 1 teaspoon
- Garlic paste- 1 teaspoon
Now, how to make Amritsari Paneer Tikka:
- First, heat some oil in a non-stick pan and add carom seeds to it.
- Once it splutters, add chili flakes to the pan and sauté.
- Now, add cinnamon powder, ginger paste, and garlic paste to the pan.
- Then, sauté them for a few seconds.
- Once the raw smell of garlic goes away, add gram flour to the pan and roast for 2 minutes.
- And when the flour turns brown, add dried fenugreek leaves to the pan and sauté for another minute.
- Now, add black pepper and salt according to the taste and mix well.
- Then, cook all the ingredients for a while.
- After that, transfer it to a separate bowl.
- Add lemon juice and sugar to the cooked ingredients and mix well.
- In the meantime, cut paneer into cubes.
- Now, add the paneer cubes to the bowl and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Then, heat some oil in a non-stick pan.
- Gently add the paneer pieces to the pan and cook over medium flame.
- Make sure you flip the paneer cubes till they get crispy from both sides.
- Once cooked, transfer the paneer cubes into a serving plate.
