3. Maybelline Color Sensational Velvet Matte Lipstick- Another matte lipstick from the brand Maybelline but this one is a liquid lipstick which sets to a matte finish. The lipstick is available in 8 amazing shades to choose from. The lipstick has a creamy, velvety texture and is not at all drying. The lipstick stays on for 4-5 hours after which it starts to fade away. You get to choose from pinks, reds, orange and mauve colours. The lipstick retails for INR 475 approx., but you can these on discount from several online stores.

4. Lakme 9 To 5 Matte Lipstick- Our very trusty brand, Lakme is also on the list with its 9 to 5 range of lipsticks. This range was launched in keeping in mind the working women who are continuously on the go and do not have the time to do touch-ups. These lipsticks are available in 30+ shades and are super matte. There is a large array of colours to choose from. The texture of the lipstick is creamy but settles to a matte finish. If you have chapped lips it would be better to apply some Vaseline or lip balm before applying it. These last on your lips for 3-4 hours after which you might need to reapply it. If your lips are chapped make sure to scrub off the dead skin from your lips and apply a thick layer of Vaseline or lip balm before applying this lipstick. These retail for INR 575 approx.

Even though the formula is matte but you don’t really need to wear a lip balm underneath this. It does not settle into lip lines but if your lips are chapped then do scrub them beforehand.
