Easy to make stove top pan pizza recipe

Pizza is one of the most loved takeaway and order at home eating option. We all love the buttery crust topped with melted cheese and fresh vegetables. But seldom do we think of making this mouthwatering pie at home, mainly because of the fact that it is very difficult to get it right or you don’t have an oven.

But today we are going to solve this problem for you as we have come up with an easy to follow recipe with which you can make pizza on your stove-top. So even if you don’t have an oven you can still make delectable pizzas at home for your family and friends and impress them.
So without any further due, let’s get started.

Ingredients:

For the dough

  • All-purpose flour- 2 cups
  • Olive oil- 2 tbsp.
  • Instant yeast- 1 tsp.
  • Sugar- 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • For the topping-

  • Pizza sauce- ½ cup
  • Capsicum- 1
  • Baby corn- 3
  • Mozzarella cheese- ½ cup
  • Mixed herbs- ½ tsp.

Procedure-

1. In a small bowl add the instant yeast and the sugar and pour over some water to it. Let the yeast activate for a few minutes and then you can start mixing the dough.

2. Once the yeast a has activated, in a big bowl add the flour, the activated yeast, the salt and the olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and then start adding warm water to the flour. The ratio of dough to water should be 100:65. So for two cups of flour, you need 1 ½ cups of water.

3. At the beginning, the dough will be very sticky, but keep rolling it with all your strength and soon it will start to come together.

4. Once the dough is ready, cover it with a damp muslin cloth and keep it in a warm place for 2 hours.

5. During this time, you can slice the vegetables and prepare the toppings. Apart from the vegetables mentioned above, you can add any topping of your choice.

6. Now that your base and the toppings are ready you can start assembling the pizza.

7. Dust some flour on your rolling board and cut out a piece of dough. Roll it like you roll a chapati and start stretching it to give it shape.

8. Once your base is ready, heat a heavy bottom pan and apply some oil on it. Now place the pizza base in the pan and cook it on one side on a high heat. When the pizza is cooked from one side take it off the heat.

9. Now on the cooked side of the base, apply the pizza sauce. Followed by the vegetables, cheese and the oregano.

10. Again turn on the heat but this time on lowest flame. Heat some oil in the pan and place your pizza in the pan.

11. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on a low flame for 4-6 minutes. But keep checking it in between.

12. When the pizza is cooked and the cheese is melted, take it off the pan and cut it into slices.

13. Serve hot.
