Here’s another chicken recipe for the chicken lovers but this time it’s an appetizer. Lemon chicken is a very beloved and famous recipe and you can attribute that to the fact that it is very easy and quick to prepare. If you have a party at home, then this could be one of the best non-vegetarian starters to prepare. All you have to do is marinade the chicken beforehand and just cook it when the guests arrive. You can also serve this at home with chapatti, bread or rice as a quick supper.
Here is a step by step recipe of the amazingly flavoured lemon chicken which is sure to get you a lot of accolades.

Ingredients:
- Chicken- 300 grams (boneless and cubed)
- Oil- ½ tbsp.
- Ginger- 1 tbsp. (minced)
- Garlic- ½ tbsp.
- Green chilli- 1 (chopped)
- Onion- 1, large (chopped)
- Sugar- ½ tsp.
- Garam masala- 1 tsp.
- Soy sauce- ½ tbsp.
- Mint leaves- 2 tbsp. (finely chopped)
- Marinade:
- Oil- 1 ½ tbsp.
- Ginger paste- 1 tsp.
- Lemon juice- 2 tbsp.
- Salt- as per taste
- Red chilli powder- ¾ tsp.
- Turmeric- 1/8 tsp.
Procedure:
- Â In a bowl add the ginger paste, oil, lemon juice, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Mix all the ingredients really well.
- Â Add the chicken pieces to this prepared marinade and keep it aside for 75-80 minutes. You can also marinate it overnight in the refrigerator.
- Â Now heat oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic to it. Cook until the raw aroma fades away.
- Â Add the chopped onions, green chili and sugar. Cook until the onion is golden brown in colour.
- Â Add the marinated chicken to the pan. Stir the chicken with the other ingredients and cook until the chicken is cooked halfway.
- Â Now add the garam masala and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Â Add the soy sauce and mix well.
- Â Cook the chicken until it is cooked but is moist and tender. Taste the chicken at this point and adjust the seasoning.
- Â Lastly, add the chopped mint leaves to the chicken and fry until the excess liquids evaporate.
- Â Serve the lemon chicken as an appetizer or with chapatti, bread, fried rice or noodles.
