Any tools work best when it is taken care of. The same goes for a pumice stone. Clean your pumice stone after every use under running water, with a bristle brush to brush off the dead skin on the stone. Also, apply soap to clean and make sure it is free from dirt. There are high chances that bacteria & grime can grow and hence sterilize your stone every other week. For deep cleaning, boil pumice stone in hot water for 5 mins and allow it to dry completely. Wash the pumice stone rope properly after every use and properly dry it. Your stone will wear along with time even with proper cleansing and caution and hence replace it after every 2-3 months.
