Basundi is a delicious dessert which is similar to Kheer. This amazing sweet dish is majorly popular in Maharashtra, Gujrat. So, don’t wait and give it a try this weekend and treat your loved ones with such an awesome delicacy.

Ingredients:
• Ghee- 1 tablespoon
• Milk- ½ liters
• Basmati rice- 1 cup
• Condensed Milk- ½ cup
• Oil- 1 tablespoon
• Sugar- 8 tablespoon
• Almonds- 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
• Cashews- 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
• Pistachios- 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
• Walnuts- 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
• Raisins- 1 tablespoon (Chopped)
• Saffron- A pinch, (soaked in ¼ warm milk)

How to make:
1. Wash Rice and soak it in water for 4 to 5 hours.
2. Grind rice roughly and set aside.
3. Then take ¼ cup of water and heat in a pan.
4. Add grind rice into the water and leave until it starts boiling and cook about 5 minutes while moving continuously.
5. Add milk and keep moving to avoid the rice from sticking to the pan.
6. Then add ghee and mix them well.
7. Once the rice cooked, add sugar into it and cook for 1 to 2 min.
8. After this, add condensed milk and mix well.
9. When you see the mixture get thick, take another pan and boil 1 or 2 cups of water and then add boiled water to the mixture.
10. Add saffron (Soaked in warm milk) into the mixture and mix well.
11. When all the ingredients get mixed, switch off the gas.
12. At last, take a non-stick pan and heat oil to roast nuts and raisins. Fry nuts till golden.
13. Mix roasted nuts into the Basundi and mix well.
14. Your Basundi is ready to serve. Serve it in bowls.
Tip: For better taste, refrigerate Basundi for 2 to 3 hours.
