Momos are a Tibetan snack which is very popular in the northern part of India especially Delhi. You can find a shop or stall at every nook and corner of Delhi as it is one of the most beloved fast food items of the delhites. Most of the people living in Delhi or somewhere where they can find momos easily will never try making them at home because it is a very time-consuming recipe. But if you do not get momos where you live, you can make these at home with our step by step recipe and enjoy these with your loved ones.

So without any further due let’s get started with the recipe.

Ingredients:
For the dough-
- All-purpose flour- 1 cup
- Oil- ½ tsp.
- Salt- ¼ tsp.
- Water for kneading
For the stuffing-
- Mixed vegetables- 1 ½ cup (finely chopped carrot, cabbage, beans and capsicum)
- Garlic- 3-4 cloves (finely chopped)
- Soy sauce- 1.5 tsp.
- Black pepper- ½ tsp.
- Oil- 1 tbsp.
- Salt as per taste
Procedure:
- Â Add the flour, salt and oil in a bowl and rub it together.
- Â Now add water and knead it to form a soft dough. Keep the dough aside to rest for 30 minutes.
-  Now in a kadhai, heat up some oil and sauté garlic in it for a few seconds.
- Â Now add the finely chopped vegetable and stir fry them on a high flame.
- Â After a minute add the soy sauce, salt and pepper.
- Â Continue cooking the vegetables for 6-7 minutes or until softened.
- Â Check for the seasoning and turn off the flame.
- Â Now divide the dough into small equal parts and form a ball like a shape.
- Â On the rolling surface dust some dry flour, place the dough ball and flatten it with your fingers. Roll the dough with the rolling pin to for a circle with 2-3 inch diameter. Make sure that the centre is thicker as compared to the edges.
- Â Place around 1-2 tsp vegetable filling in the centre of the disc.
- Â Run a damp finger on the edges of the disc and pleat the dough to get the shape of a momo. Keep the prepared momos covered with a damp cloth to prevent the momos from drying.
- Â When all the momos are ready, heat the water in a steamer.
- Â place the momos in the steamer and cook for 5-6 minutes. Do not overcook them or they will get chewy. The cooking time may also vary depending on the thickness of the dough.
- Â Once the momos are transparent to look at and do not feel sticky, they are ready.
- Â Serve the momos hot with schezwan sauce or red chilli garlic sauce.
