Cracked heels are a common problem that people face nowadays. But sometimes it becomes so painful that it is almost impossible to handle it. In many cases, it starts bleeding if it is not treated timely. So, it is better to take precautions in advance and heal those painful cracked heels with some of the effective home remedies given below.
1. Blend rosewater and glycerine and apply

This combination works like wonder for treating damaged heels. Glycerine is very effective in softening the skin whereas rose water has anti-inflammatory, antioxidants and antiseptic properties. Mix equal portions of rose water and glycerine and then apply it on your heels before going to bed. Regular application of this mixture will help in getting desired results.
2. Soak your legs in warm water along with lemon juice

Lemon is the best ingredient for softening rough skin as it has acidic properties. For treating the heels, you need to soak your legs in warm water which have lemon juice. You need to keep your legs in the water for 10-15 minutes. You can also use a pumice stone for scrubbing heels. Later, wash your them thoroughly and dry with a towel.
3. Exfoliate your feet using rice flour

You can soothe your damaged heels by scrubbing it. And rice flour is the best ingredient that you can use for exfoliating your feet’s skin. For making this scrub you need to mix a handful of rice flour with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and honey. Mix all the ingredients well and then apply it on your heels. And remember to soak your feet in warm water before applying this mixture.
4. Apply vegetable oil on affected areas
You can pick any vegetable oil of your choice to heal damaged heels. For this remedy, you need to soak your feet in warm water and then scrub it with a pumice stone. Later, wash it off and dry. Now, apply the vegetable oil on the affected area and then wear socks and leave it overnight.
5. Apply the paste of neem leaves and turmeric powder
Neem is considered as the best ingredient to treat damaged heels as it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. For this remedy, you need you need 3 teaspoons of turmeric powder and handful neem leaves. Now, make neem paste by adding some water to it. Then, add turmeric powder. Apply this paste on your heels and leave it for half an hour. Later, rinse it off with water.
6. Apply fruit mask consisting banana, papaya, pineapple and avocado
Banana, avocado, papaya, and pineapple are some of the fruits which are very effective in treating damaged heels. For this remedy, we will be using banana, coconut flesh, and avocado. First, mash a banana, avocado and then add coconut and mix all the ingredients well. Now, apply this mask on your heels and then leave it for 15 minutes. Later, wash it off with water. Regular application of this mask will help in healing the heels quickly.
