This one is an Indo-Chinese starter recipe which is perfect to be served as a starter at parties or as an evening snack. You can also serve it with noodles and fried rice or even bread. This particular recipe is a little bit on the sweeter side. But you can also skip the sugar if you do not like it. So without any further due let’s get started with the recipe.

Ingredients:
- Button mushrooms- 250 gm
- Spring onions- 3-4 (finely chopped)
- Green chilli- 2-3 (finely chopped)
- Garlic- 2 tsp. (finely chopped)
- Ginger- 2 tsp. (finely chopped)
- Black pepper powder- ½ tsp
- Soy sauce- 1 tbsp.
- Capsicum- 1, medium sized (Diced)
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- for deep frying
- For the batter:
- All-purpose flour- 1 cup
- Cornflour- 3 tbsp.
- Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp.
- Black pepper- ½ tsp.
- Soy sauce- 1 tsp.
- Water- ¾ cup
- Salt- as per taste
- Sugar- as per taste
Procedure:
- Â Rinse the mushrooms really well and then wipe them with a clean kitchen towel.
- Â Now in a bowl, combine all the ingredient for the batter.
- Â Heat oil in a pan or kadhai for deep frying the mushrooms.
- Â When the oil is hot enough, dip the mushrooms in the batter and fry them until they are golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Â Remove the mushrooms on a paper towel and keep aside.
-  Remove the excess oil from the kadhai and add the chopped onion whites. Sauté the onions on a medium flame for a minute.
- Â Now add the diced capsicum and fry it for a minute on medium flame.
- Â Now add the green chilli, garlic, ginger and half of the chopped onion greens.
-  Sauté all the ingredients on a medium flame for a minute.
- Â Now add the soy sauce, black pepper, sugar and salt. Mix really well.
- Â Now add the fried mushrooms and stir well so that all the mushrooms are well coated with the sauce.
- Â Garnish the Manchurian with chopped green onions.
- Â Serve the mushroom Manchurian hot.
