5 Ingredients To Get Rid Of Oily Skin In Winters

Most of us love to use various kitchen ingredients as an incredible beauty mask for hair &skin as has been mentioned in our ancient science. One should be careful while using ingredients with the right amount and the right ingredients. The ingredients we are using must be changed as per our age, geographical location, and season. Generally, our skin gets oily because of excess sebum production by the sebaceous glands.  Sebum is an oily substance made up of lipids that provides moisturize your skin & keeps it healthy & shiny. But too much sebum can make your skin oily and can clog the skin pores that lead to acne.  You should wash your face twice a day by using gentle facewash or with glycerine based products.

1. Honey

Honey is a natural humectant. As humectant draws moisture from the skin without replacing that keeps your skin moist but not oily.  Honey is one of the best skin remedies as it also has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. For oily or acne-prone skin, apply a thin layer of raw honey on your face.  Let it dry for 10 mins and wash it off with lukewarm water.

2. Oatmeal

The mild pH of oatmeal helps to calm down the inflamed skin andabsorbs excess oil. It is a good exfoliating agentto remove dead skin cells.  For better effect, a grounded oatmeal facial mask is generally applied.  Combine a half-cup of grounded oats with hot water to form a paste. Add 1 tablespoon of honey to it. Massage this mixture on your face for 3-4 mins.  Leave it for 10-15 mins and then rinse with warm water.

3. Aloevera

Aloevera

Alovera having soothing properties is best for any skin type and also any skin problems.  Scientific evidence shows that it works well for flaky skin caused by oily patches.  Apply a thin layer of fresh aloeveragel on your face rest it for about 15-20 min and wash it with water. For best results try to keep it overnight.

4. Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain salicylic acid and id a good home remedy for acne.  Salicylic acid present in it helps to absorb excess skin oils and unclogs the pores. To use it, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to 1 tablespoon of tomato pulp and apply it to your skin in a circular motion. Leave for 5-10 min and then wash it off.

5. Egg White & Lemon

Egg white and lemon is an ancient remedy for oily skin. Both ingredients are used for tightening pores.  The citrus acid and vitamin C present in lemon help to absorb oil.  Lemon has antibacterial properties that help to fight against acene. However, people having allergies to eggs should avoid this.Make a mixture of 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and apply it. Keep it for 10-15 min and then rinse with water.
