Nothing tastes better than a warm toast slathered with lots of strawberry jam. Isn’t it? Well, there is something which tastes better than just the strawberry jam. A homemade strawberry jam can any day beat the store bought strawberry jam. And the best part is that making jam at home is just as easy as getting it from the market. All you need are three simple ingredients and just 30 minutes and you will get to eat the world’s best strawberry jam ever. So without wasting any time further, let’s get started with the recipe.
Ingredients:
- Strawberry- 400 gm
- Castor sugar- 300 gm
- Lemon- 1
Procedure:
1. Wash the strawberries really well and then remove the green crown of them. Cut all the strawberries into small pieces.
2. Add all the chopped strawberries in a heavy bottomed pan and place the pan on a low flame. Let the strawberries cook for at least 10 minutes.
3. Now take a masher and start mashing the partially cooked strawberries. Add sugar to the mashed strawberries and let it cook.
4. When the sugar is completely dissolved, turn on the flame on high and cook the jam for 10-12 minutes. Make sure to stir the jam continuously or it may burn.
5. Once the jam has cooked and thickened up a bit, add the lemon juice.
6. Now take out some jam on a plate to check it the jam has started to set. If the jam has started to set, just take it off the flame and let it cool down to room temperature.
7. Store your homemade jam in a sterilized glass jar and enjoy it with toast or even parathas.
