These are generally recommended for women who have prolactin hormone, which reduces the level of oestrogen hormone thus making it further difficult for the women to get pregnant. When it is used during conception treatments, such as dopamine agonists, IVF, which can reduce the ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome risk which causes the swelling of ovaries. Major side effects include leg swelling, confusion, excessive sleepiness and compulsive behaviours which is very rare.
