1. Steaming the hair before shampooing it:


The pores present on the scalp are clogged with dirt and oil. The best way to clean them is by steaming the hair. To perform it, soak a towel in the hot water and compress out the excessive water. Now wrap the towel around your head and leave it undisturbed for 20 minutes before doing the shower.

2. Massaging the steamed hair before applying shampoo


 After steaming the hair, gently massage the scalp with fingers for a few minutes. This can help in loosening up the dirt and also removes the weak hair strands from the scalp.

3. Using the cool or lukewarm water:


The heat generated from the hot water strips off the natural oils from the hair and keeps the hair cuticles open, thereby allowing the moisture to escape from hair. Washing the hair with lukewarm water helps in closing the lock in the moisture and cuticle thus giving shinier locks.
