This statement is very much true as in pregnancy standing upright for more than 5 hours can cause prematurity. While standing, the blood circulations are more towards the lower extremities that create low blood circulation for the uterus, and some of the important blood driven nutrients can’t reach the developing fetus. This may lead to blood clots, fatigue, & dizziness. Hence women need to manage their household chores and other works properly.

Exercise can cause overheat in pregnant women, it’s advisable not to exercise for too long if the weather is hot and humid. Drink a lot of water & fluids as dehydration can raise your body temperature.
